India Association of Minnesota (IAM) is launching a first-ever literary event celebrating writings by Indian and South-Asian authors with local Minnesota connections.

The event is open to all over the age of 12 and is free to attend.

 When: Saturday, January 13th, 2024

 2 pm to 5 pm

Where: Minnetonka Community Center, 14600 Minnetonka Blvd.,

Minnetonka, MN 55345

 What to expect:

Get to know South Asian published authors with a Minnesota connection, and their work(s).

Featured panelists will speak about their creative journeys, from ideation to publication, and read excerpts from their books. Other published authors, bloggers, and poets will be introduced and will share their works with the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with the writers and fellow readers, discover, browse, and perhaps even come away with a signed copy of their new favorite book written by a South-Asian neighbor!

The event will be particularly informative to those, of all ethnic origins who have nursed a dream of writing a book. Authors exploring choices between self-publishing and finding agents and publishing houses will find useful guidance.

 Light refreshments will be provided.

The event is FREE to attend. RSVP is requested. Register here to attend. Each donation via this PayPal link will be entered to win a raffle prize at the event.
