Riya is a 17-year-old from Woodbury, MN. She is a current senior at East Ridge High School and plans to major in Computer Science starting this fall. She is a first-year intern and is involved in the Marketing, Technology, and Non-Indian Outreach departments. Riya has a passion for volunteering, and you will constantly see her at local parades, STEM fairs, family events, and more. Her interests also include photography, kayaking, hiking, and biking. In addition, Riya is involved in over 10 school activities with many leadership positions. Her favorite is being the captain of her robotics team, where she codes, designs, project manages, volunteers, and teaches. Riya hopes to use her skills and experiences to connect with the Asian Indian community.

Fun fact: She is the reigning Miss Woodbury Princess.

Mish (Sudeshna) Sen

Associate Board

Mish Sen is a teacher-turned digital marketer-turned food blogger. She’s the creator of @eatswithmish on Instagram, where she posts easy, healthy and tasty (mostly) Indian recipes. Mish is on a mission to make Indian food accessible to everyone – without ‘The Overwhelm’ and without guesswork. Mish’s husband’s name is Sridhar Ramachandran (in corporate finance),and they have three grown children, Avishek, Preeti and Arjun. Avi lives in Sweden and is a medical writer, Preeti lives in Vegas and she has her own SEO business and is also a dancer, and Arjun is in med school in PA. Mish also loves to read, write, take walks, watch movies and travel. She wholeheartedly believe in staying connected to her roots and offering her assistance to organizations that give people of Indian origin a voice and a platform to do good, interesting, and useful work. In Boston, she had served as Secretary for Prabasi, a Bengali association, and has also been Secretary for her kids’ school PTA. Mish is honored to serve IAM as a Board member.
